Mon, 16 April 2007 According to an article in the Albuquerque Journal, President Bush may have been behind the firing of David Iglesias: Former U.S. Attorney David Iglesias was fired after Sen. Pete Domenici, who had been unhappy with Iglesias for some time, made a personal appeal to the White House, the Journal has learned. This story is alot bigger than just some attorney firings. The Bush administration was clearly setting up a legal staff that was designed to go after Democrats in states where elections were being held, as a part of their "Permanent Majority" delusion. Thank God for the November elections, and for true watchdog journalism by blogs like TPM Muckraker. Chris Category: general -- posted at: 10:16 AM Comments[0] |
